Position Summary

Part-time temporary position needed at Clayton State University, Instructional Technology Services Division,
Media and Printing Services Department. The position will report to the Director of M&PS.

The applicant offered this position may be subject to a pre-employment drug test.

Working Hours: 9:00am – 2:00pm

Qualifications

Qualifications include several years of experience in large format digital production. Proficiency with In-Design, Microsoft Office products and Adobe software is a must. PC is required. Must be mechanically inclined and a creative thinker. Precision, consistency and reliability are mandatory.

Responsibilities Summary

Job responsibilities will include but not limited to: Digital Production Operator will be responsible for analyzing and producing in-house print requests, maintain equipment to optimal standards, and managing graphic files. Processing print-ready graphics, ensuring they are ready for reproduction on various duplicating mediums, printing of brochures, and flyers. Able to set-up and print business cards and letterhead. Some minimal graphic design required. Mounting and laminating signs, posters, displays, and other related duties as assigned. Answers telephone, talks with clients regarding needed services. Excellent people skills and a great attitude is a must.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of computer-generated and traditional desktop publishing. Working
knowledge of copiers and printers. Several years of working experience in computer related fields.
The person should be able to operate a variety of digital print and finishing devices that include:

Wide format printers
Digital color copiers
Cutter
Various Laminators
Shrink wrap
Understand the process from pre-press (file preparation) to final output
Determine proper materials and processes for various projects
Oversee and produce in a fast-paced environment
Assess and troubleshoot a project from beginning to end
Setup, maintain and efficiently operate equipment to its optimum output
Ensure consistency and quality on all projects
