Position Summary

We are searching for a reliable temporary part time Certified Medical Assistant. The person who fills this position should be organized with an eye for detail to ensure that all necessary steps for completing a patient’s visit are handled accurately.

The applicant offered this position may be subject to a pre-employment drug test.


Required experience:
• Taking vitals: 1 year
• Typing 40 words per minute: 1 year
• Certified medical: 2 years
• Medical Terminology: 2 years
• Electronic medical records: 2 years

• Must be a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (AAMA)

Minimum Education Requirements
Responsibilities Summary

Job Duties Include (but are not limited to):
• Preparing charts
• Taking and recording vital signs
• Rooming patients
• Taking patient history
• Documenting patient information in detail
• Medication Reconciliation
• Input medications
• Create lab/radiology orders based on physician instructions
• Create and send referrals for patients when needed (ex: physicians, physical therapy, etc.)
• Document services done at the time of visit per patient (ex: labs, radiology services, etc.)
• Discharging patients to end their visit
• Responsible for handling patient documents (printed prescriptions, referrals, medication enrollment forms, etc.)
• Help direct patient throughout their visit

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Basic knowledge of medical terminology
• Strong multitasking skills and able to work at a quick pace
• Able to follow through with verbal instruction from physician
• Basic computer skills including typing at least 35-40 WPM
• Strong organizational skills
