Position Summary Information

Position Summary

This position will perform cashiering and customer service functions for Loch’s Nest. They will report to the Store Services Manager.

The applicant offered this position may be subject to a pre-employment drug test.


Experience in receiving, disbursing, and accounting for cash and cash items; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Bookstore, Retail or University experience preferred.

Minimum Education Requirements

High School graduate or GED with one year of related experience.

Responsibilities Summary

Work with computerized registers in order to ring up merchandise. Responsible for handling cash drawer. Validate receipts for proper encoding; balance cash collections with receipts.

Provide customer service by answering questions and assisting with locating materials. Must assist with floor merchandising and replenishing stock. Must also assist with maintenance of ICEE machine, microwave, and other customer service directed equipment.

Any other duties assigned.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Basic knowledge of business practices.
• Knowledge of excel and typing skills. Must be customer oriented.
• Able to lift 50lbs. Must be able to work standing for a long period of time.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing with customers and associates.
