Position Summary Information

Position Summary

Provides administrative support to the department through assigned activities under the supervision of the department director. Coordinates special events related to health education and promotion, health fairs and STD testing, blood drives, requested educational offerings of campus departments and student organizations and immunization compliance at orientation sessions. Provide administrative support for patient scheduling, database management, and patient referrals. The position reports to the Director, University Health Services.

The applicant offered this position may be subject to a pre-employment drug test.


* Current certification in Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association required.
* Bachelor degree in healthcare management or related field required; Master of Healthcare Administration or Master of Business Administration with healthcare concentration preferred.
* Minimum of three years of experience in a in a physician office, hospital, long term care or health department required.
* Computer proficiency required; minimum of one year of previous experience with electronic health record system required.

Responsibilities Summary

Coordinates presentations, outreach efforts with student organizations, and promotional events.

Maintains accurate and prompt documentation in the electronic medical record system, the laboratory information system, and the Georgia Registry of Immunization Transaction and Services.

Provides coverage for administrative functions of the front desk, as assigned.

Assists in inventory control and supply management of office supplies and medical supplies.

Assists Director and Medical Director in administrative tasks, as assigned.
