Position Summary Information

Position Summary

Coordinates activities for the operation of the department and works closely to support the Director. Monitors departmental budget and supply inventory. Coordinates various marketing materials for department. Provides front-line customer service in incoming calls and in-person office interactions with students, staff and faculty. Serves as point of contact in vendor ordering, supply pick-up and requisition processing for department. Provides supervision for student employees.

Qualifications

Must be able to multi-task and work in a constantly changing, fast-paced work environment. Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Minimum Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred or High School Diploma/GED with at least four years of equivalent education-related work experience. Experience in higher education setting is preferred.

Responsibilities Summary

• Coordinates all general office functions for the Center for Academic Success such as ordering materials and supplies, reconciling budget monthly, copying, answering phone, e-mail, and other written correspondence.
• Supervises student assistants and work study students.
• Coordinates hiring and payroll procedures for all CAS staff to include part-time staff, peer tutors, and student assistants.
• Assists faculty, staff and students in understanding policies and procedures as they relate to Learning Support, Banner, SSC, and the DUCK.
• Interacts with faculty, other campus departments, outside agencies, and other universities.
• Provides assistance for, and may represent, the Center during advisement and orientation sessions.
• Plans and coordinates various marketing efforts for department.
• Coordinates departmental calendar, schedules, makes arrangements for conferences and workshops; produces / handles related correspondence, and reports.
• Attends meetings on behalf of staff, when appropriate.
• Assists the Tutoring Coordinator and Academic Services Coordinators with promoting services of the Center for Academic Success.
• Coordinates the Operation Study Program – to include facilitating the Will Study for Food Program and promoting and scheduling the Connected and Dangerous workshops for non-traditional students.
• Responsible for opening the Center M-F.
• Other duties as assigned.
