Position Summary

The Assistant Director – Auxiliary Services Operations reports to the Director of Auxiliary Services Operations. This position oversees the accounting functions and financial reporting for all auxiliary units. It also provides assistance with maintaining the 5-year strategic plan and provides project management support for both Auxiliary Services Directors.
The Assistant Director also oversees several functions in the Loch Shop: accounting and cash handling, inventory management and reporting, and maintaining all bookstore policies and procedures.

3 years’ experience in a University environment-preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with campus card systems-preferred but not mandatory.

Minimum Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related field and 3-5 years’ experience in banking, retail or customer service

Responsibilities Summary

• Coordinates the monthly financial reporting functions for auxiliary units. Monitors budget progress and accounts for budget variances on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Assists with the maintenance of the five-year budget and strategic plan.
• Supports Auxiliary Services Directors with project management as needed.
• Oversees all Loch Shop accounting functions, including cash handling, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and daily deposits. Manages Loch Shop Accounting Specialist.
• Manages accounting of physical inventory and inventory reporting.
• Oversees contract management for all Auxiliary units. Ensures all vendor contracts are current, in compliance with BOR and CSU policies, and stored in central shared folder. Maintains contract tracking spreadsheet to ensure contracts are renewed as appropriate. Ensures all commissions are received in accordance with the terms of all contracts.
• Maintains Loch Shop’s policy and procedure manual.

• Flexibility in working hours
