Position Summary

Clayton State University (CSU) is seeking a part-time clerical assistant – Dual Enrollment (DE) to assist in the management of a program that serves high school students who are pursuing college credit at Clayton State University. The position will focus on the administrative and clerical support of the CSU-DE Henry County office. This position is part-time regular (24.5 hours per week).

Qualifications

Requirements

Minimum:
• Experience working in an education-related office environment;
• Above-average written, verbal, and interpersonal skills;
• Proficiency in the use of computer hardware and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint);
• Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy;
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively;
• Ability and flexibility to handle multiple simultaneous projects, accommodate shifting priorities and meet deadlines
• Commitment to customer service; and
• Ability to relate well with students, parents, and school administrators.

Preferred:
• Few years of related professional work experience in a higher education environment or secondary education student counseling environment;
• Superior written, verbal and interpersonal skills;
• Demonstrated ability to use MS Excel, including formulas, charts and pivot tables, and data analysis, and statistical software;
• Experience working with BANNER, SQL, and Student Information Systems;
• Knowledge of DE and the Georgia University and K-12 Systems
• Ability to work effectively with faculty and staff

Minimum Education Requirements

Required: Associate’s degree from an accredited institution

Strongly preferred: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

Responsibilities Summary

Responsibilities include: Answering both phone and walk-in inquiries related to the Dual Enrollment Program and other level appropriate program offerings at Clayton State University. Creating and maintaining data and records related to the DE program. Assisting students, parents, faculty and staff to manage/solve issues that relate to the fluid operation of the DE Program at Clayton State University (including but not limited to classroom operations, and student registration). Assist in the preparation of the paperwork needed to purchase DE materials and supplies. Assist in the appropriate transfer of data, forms, and materials between CSU faculty and staff and Henry County personnel. Assist in the advertisement and recruitment for the DE program as needed. Other duties as assigned. The position requires travel.
