Position Summary Information

Position Summary

The corporate recruiter will work with large and small corporate entities for the purpose of building recruitment pipelines. The individual assuming this role will be expected to establish new corporate partnerships for the Clayton State University, and maintain existing relationships. The corporate recruiter would be tasked with increasing awareness, building prospect contacts, maintaining communication with prospective students, and generating inquiries from prospective students that then convert to enrolled students. This individual will be a part of the Clayton State University Office of Recruitment and Admission. This individual will work to support the University’s Strategic enrollment plan. This position requires travel, typically within 100 miles of the university.

The applicant offered this position may be subject to a pre-employment drug test.


• Related experience in recruitment and/or sales related field.
• Experience working with human resource professionals is desirable
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willing to work some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities Summary

• Develop new corporate partners for Clayton State University

• Set up and execute opportunities to present the value of a Clayton State University education to stakeholders and potential applicants

• Researches and provides accurate information about academic policies, admission procedures, and degree programs, including academic requirements.

• Collaborates with other departments as necessary to define pathways for admission.

• Interviews and counsels students through the admission process including reviewing credentials, facilitating appointments with appropriate staff, faculty and university departments.

• Represents Clayton State University at internal and external recruiting events, including area companies, agencies and other entities

• Actively recommends and executes strategies for recruitment of undergraduate and graduate students.

• Contributes and collaborates with departmental staff and other university departments in creation of recruiting and marketing materials for the corporate community

• Able to convey enthusiasm, energy and poise.

• Ability to interact and communicate with a diverse group of student, staff, faculty and to develop strong working relationships with colleagues, staff, students and general public.

• Flexibility with an evolving work environment.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office software products.

• Knowledge of Banner and BRM is beneficial.
