Position Summary

A person allocated to the Site Coordinator category serves as the representative of the Film and Digital Media Center’s Lucy Huie Hall as well as the assistant film representative to Clayton State University’s film liaison. Serves as primary representative for students, faculty and the public for our Lucy Huie Hall Studio location. Arranges tours, rentals of space, facilities and resource management including an extensive inventory of film equipment and the film studio. Assists Director with a diverse set of requirements unique to maintaining a film learning environment. Acts as a representative of the Director when appropriate to serve on committees or serve as a liaison to public and educational community outreach. Additionally, is proactive in finding solutions to challenges that come up for students, faculty and other Film and Digital Media stakeholders. As assistant film representative to the primary liaison, this position may step in and serve as ambassador for film productions scouting locations at CSU multiple times for various stakeholders of each film production considering filming on location at the main campus. Is available once filming begins, as needed, as the assistant film representative of CSU with the film production shooting on campus. Additionally may be responsible for returning CSU locations to their original condition after film production has completed filming at that space.

Film industry experience of 2 years or more.

Completion of a High School Diploma.

Responsibilities Summary

 Ensures that day to day operations of Lucy Huie Hall Studio support students and faculty in the delivery of learning outcomes whether in the classroom, the studio or supporting student homework film assignments including pre-production, production and any other needs that may arise unique to film assignments. 10%
 Maintains and ensures film equipment inventory is in good working order and arranges for repair or replacement of film equipment as needed to ensure students have resources required to complete film homework assignments. 10%
 Ensures Lucy Huie Hall Studio is maintained as needed whether concerning repair, scheduling of film shoots, special events or other unique opportunities that may arise. 10%
 Performs demonstrations of film equipment, studio equipment, safety and proper protocol for student use of Lucy Huie Hall for student assignment work or advice and/or additional training requested by student stakeholders or recommended by faculty. 15%
 Engages and supports the Film and Digital Media Center and course offerings in community outreach including but not limited to Career Fairs, Educational conventions, local government events/presentations and any other opportunities that may arise to represent the Film and Digital Media Center as an ambassador for our course offerings and branding in the public, educational and film industry community. 10%
 Oversees and trains site co-ordinators and/or other employees of the Film and Digital Media Center as requested by the Director. 5%
 Becomes point person for all issues related to the Film and Digital Media Center’s course offerings and Lucy Huie Hall Studio when Director is off-site for meetings and/or other educational, business and film industry relationship building and branding. 10%
 Is the after hours representative for the Lucy Huie Hall Studio as first point of contact if issues arise when location is closed for the night. 5%
 Is proactive for all activities at Lucy Huie Hall from developing systems for equipment check in and check out, reserving studio and rooms at Lucy Huie Hall location for students, rentals from outside productions including but not limited to maintaining a clean and organized campus and studio space. 10%
 As assistant film representative for Clayton State University is on immediate call for any film production contacting CSU for a location scout, film production shooting on campus, and for returning CSU locations to their original condition after film production has completed filming at that space. 15%

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple timelines and/or tasks.
Ability to multi-task responsibilities of managing a facility including a film studio.
Able to setup and maintain systems of protocol for use of equipment and space resources.
Proactive in reaching out to student stakeholders to support unique needs of film assignments.
Comprehensive understanding of industry standards for film location scouting.
Maintaining role as ambassador of Film and Digital Media Center and Film Liaison for CSU
