Position Summary

The Clayton State University Department of Visual and Performing Arts is seeking a part-time instructor to teach dance courses beginning in Fall 2018 and Spring 2019. Minimum qualifications include a Master’s Degree and at least 18 graduate hours in Dance.
The courses expected to be taught include: dance history; choreography; beginning and intermediate levels of jazz, modern, and ballet technique; and/or an elective course to help students earn a minor in dance. Candidates should be prepared to help students from various majors and at all skill levels. Candidates who also who meet accreditation requirements for teaching theater courses (18 hours of graduate work in theater), and have experience teaching theater classes, such as introduction to acting, are encouraged to apply. The search committee will begin reviewing application thirty days after the job is posted; the position is open until filled.
